Measure: Amend Res. 30 - Vendor-Neutral Traffic Cam Proceeds

Francis J. “Kip” Burgweger, Jr., Chairman of Legislative & Rules Committee, on behalf of the committee, made a motion, to amend the resolutions in the Proposed Budget as follows:
Page 29 – Resolution 30 - The Town is authorized to accept proceeds — including fines, fees, and interest ("ATESD Proceeds") — resulting from citations generated by an automated traffic enforcement system, as authorized under C.G.S. §14-307c (Municipal Use of Automated Traffic Enforcement Safety Devices). If ATESD Proceeds are collected by a vendor engaged with the Town for such purposes, ATESD Proceeds shall be deposited into appropriate depository accounts and distributed in full compliance with the Town's contract with such vendor, the Greenwich Code of Ordinances, the Town's REPRESENTATIVE TOWN MEETING Minutes of May 11, 2026 Meeting TOWN OF GREENWICH Page 27 of 33 purchasing policies, and all other applicable laws and statutes. All ATESD Proceeds received by the Town shall become appropriations that the Comptroller shall add to the appropriate accounts upon approval by the Board of Estimate and Taxation, and shall be used for improving transportation mobility, investing in transportation infrastructure improvements or paying the costs associated with the use of automated traffic enforcement safety devices.
