Measure: $14,750 for Feasibility Study of the Greenwich Senior Center

On December 27, 2022, after approval by the BET and RTM, the Town of Greenwich and the Friends of the Greenwich Senior Center entered into an agreement to accept a gift in the amount of $2.5M from the estate of Mary Louise Wallace. Mary Louise Wallace was a resident of Riverside who, upon her death, directed her Trustees to donate funds to the Town of Greenwich for-the-purpose-of funding the continued renovation of the Greenwich Senior Center facility located at 299 Greenwich Avenue. As the construction of the Senior Center café, kitchen and dining room is now complete, the Commission on Aging is working toward developing comprehensive plans for the continued renovation of remaining areas of the Greenwich Senior Center. In accordance with Town policy, a gift in the amount of $14,750 was given to the Town of Greenwich in December 2023. This gift, from the Wallace bequest will fund a Feasibility Study with QA+M Architecture of the Greenwich Senior Center.
