Measure: $25,000 for Cleaning Services at the Fire Department

This appropriation of $25,000 is to bring the Greenwich Fire Department into compliance with Connecticut Public Act #22-139, which was enacted July 1, 2023. This act adopted the recommendations from a task force to request all fire department adopt plans for maintenance and remediation of toxic substances from turn out gear. This appropriation will help cover the required third-party advanced inspections and needed repairs. This appropriation was approved by the BET on the routine calendar by unanimous consent.
