Measure: New Ordinance - Major Town Capital Projects (item #18)

District 9 proposed the creation of a new ordinance that would require the seating of a construction council responsible for the construction, addition to and alteration of certain town buildings and appurtenant facilities. The intention of the ordinance is that it apply to “major” projects, i.e., projects that have a total aggregate cost of at least $8 Million and require at least one municipal improvement designation. The proposed ordinance has been structured to mirror aspects of the Town Code’s school building committee provisions.
