Measure: Prohibit Traveling Wild Animal Acts (item #17)

Prohibits the participation of covered animals in traveling animal acts, with exceptions for performances at non-mobile, permanent institutions where the animals are not transported for the performance, and for animals receiving necessary veterinary care while traveling through the Town of Greenwich.

The list of covered animals includes: giraffes, Bactrian camels, dromedary camels, pygmy hippos, Canidae (excluding domestic dogs), crocodiles, lemon sharks, nurse sharks, rays, elephants, Felidae (excluding domestic cats), kangaroos, wallabies, non-human primates, otters, Perissodactyla (excluding domestic horses, ponies, donkeys, or mules), seals, coatimundis, kinkajous, raccoons, skunks, ostriches, emus, capybaras, Patagonian cavies, sea lions, sloths, bears, bearcats, civets, genets, and zebras.
